There have been write-ups in most of the BMW enthusiasts magazines,
but the best write-up I've read is the June 23 issue of Autocar, which
covers *all* of the new cars: the 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7-series, the
engines used in them and either spy photos or artist renderings.

In article <com>, Joe Stalin <>

Turbo in a BMW? That's new.

Nope, no turbo, never. Not in an M car, anyway.
The V10 will be naturally aspirated - like all the world's best
engines - and rev very high (8,000 rpm is the mooted ceiling).

Well, if you discount the 1,800,000 turbodiesels made since 1989
.
A turbo in an M car is certainly new, given that the M Turbo of 1972
never made it to production, and the 2002 turbo was far too unresolved
to be an M car.
