The 2.7 V6 seems to be a great engine.

Am curious -- how much did you pay for your car. I'm also in the process of
purchasing of 2004 Tib and am just curious what you paid.

    Re: New 2004 Tiburon

Hey, I am looking at buying a used Tiburon and was wondering if you
guys knew what was up with people pricing them so high over blue book
private party value? I looked at an 01 and kbb was around 8k, but the
guy was trying to sell it for 11.5k. Is there something I should
know? If that's market value I guess that's what I'll pay but I feel
a little odd about paying 3-4k over blue book for a used hyundai.
    Anyway, let me know! Thanks!

My experience is that Kelley Blue Book is a little high. I don't know what
options this car has, but base price new was around 13k. Unless it's
loaded, low mileage, and flawless, 11.5k sounds like way too much money.

Thanks for the info/validation. It seemed really strange. The thing
is that I've been searching the internet for the last couple of days
and haven't had any luck finding one priced anywhere near what they
are worth. Any ideas on where I should be looking? I've done most of
my searching on autotrader and thebiglot.com. Thanks again!

Don't forget that those private prices are negotiable. People see the blue
book and then tack on an extra couple of grand. Also condition weighs
heavily on what the price should be. Everybody seems to think their car is
in good condition, when most are not, as generally people don't maintain
    their cars properly.
