Corvette: Mirror switch fix in C4 corvette

My neighbor's corvette had a switch problem. The little joystick for
adjusting the mirrors quit. After taking it apart it was pbvious that
a little plastic stem had broken. I used a 4-40 screw to replace it. I
drilled and tapped the joystick, screwed the screw into it, and ground
off the head of the screw. Now, it'll last forever. I dunno what a new
one cost but everything else he's bought has really set him back. Hope
