I'll second that.

Wait, because Michelin screwed up this year, you're not going to go
next year?

I'm not going next year because the way things were handled
this year, from lack of signage telling people where to go, to
indifferent staff that sometimes didn't know where things were,
to the way prices have increased over the years for what is
obviously a weakening product. Oh, and bathrooms rivalling
Nelson Ledges for being disgusting.
That and I still think the FIA should have put in the chicane and
allowed the Michelin people to run without points just so the
show could go on. I can't think of any other racing promotion
that would allow such a small grid when they know full well that
people from all over the world have come to see a race.
Granted, having all but six cars not in the points isn't a true race
but at least everyone would be represented in the field and some
real dicing for position would certainly occur. Anything is better
than seeing six cars zip by and then waiting two minutes to see
them zip by again. THAT was lame. I don't blame the other teams
for running by themselves as it's not their fault Michelin screwed the
pooch, but after driving all the way out there and getting butt-raped
for THREE DAYS worth of general admission even though I was only
there on sunday I'd expect them to try to put on a damn show.
So I'll be getting that refund for one ticket at least, and probably
keep the other as proof I was at the worst F1 race ever.
Screw F1. I'll follow it from afar, but they aren't getting another dime
from me.

Such bitter words. Are you quite certain that you don't want to go to
the Italian GP with me next year?

Errr, ask me again after some time has passed...
I definitely don't plan on returning to Indy. The Italian GP,
well, that would be the perfect time to visit my relatives-in-law
over there, see the Factory, etc..
Plus I feel bad about missing the Champ Car race in Cleveland.
A little guilt goes a long way...

Is a week long enough?

You know you want to...

When my 65 yr old father was helping pull a motor at midnight on Friday
night, you were well and truly missed.
<<A little guilt goes a long way...>>
I can do that!
