    Mazda MX6

I have a 93 MX6 and the drivers window is now stuck open. The button for
the power window broke and I am trying to figure out if it can be fixed on
my own if I will have to take it to someone. The other thing is does
anyone have any tips on getting the window up without it. I took the
panel off but still can't figure out how to get the window up. At least
    it isn't raining today.

    In article <talkaboutautos.com>,
    greatwest.ca says...

Find the plug that goes to the window motor. Then run power directly
to the motor. If the window doesn't go up with the wires one way, switch
    them and that should work.

    Re: Mazda MX6

same switch broke on my son's '93 MX6 last December in a snow storm... yup,
    with the window down.
we just took the door panel off, and temporarily cut & spliced the wires
for the drivers window over to the passenger window switch. he's got long
arms, so can reach across to the passenger door to use that switch to
operate the passenger window if need be. he also lost the one-touch down
feature. this car has over 330 kilometres on it, so he's just driving it
as is, until something serious goes.

we've got the wiring diagrams in the Haynes manual, so I can tell you which
wires to cut/splice if you want to go that route.
