    mapsend ?

I have a Meridian Platinum 128 sd card. I load the map to the card,
the card shows the file is there. But gps won't show new map, not
    listed in database.
Their web site has no info at all to help. File size is 9785kb. So
    whats up?
    Thanks
    Barry

I think your filesize is to big. Depending on your firmware the
maximum is 16 kb. But you can change a parameter in the mapsend. ini
(Conv_Memory_Size=65536 instead of 16384) so that you will have 64 kb.
This is described in the faq (german version nr. 24).

    Good luck
    Wolfgang

    card,

If the Platinum works like the Basic, you have to use Change Map
under Card Utilities. Save the map on the card as Default and it
will be the map which shows when you start the unit. If you do not
save as default, it will revert to the original map. This does not
    overwrite the base maps.

You may also want to check out the FAQs on Magellan's website. They tell you
    exactly how to do this.
