    Life Expectancy, 2000 Malibu

My 2000 Malibu has done ~59k. Should I trade it in for a new one or
hang on to it for a year or two (~9 -15k)?

You don't drive very much. I'd say hang onto it until it needs some major
repair (eg. brake job). You're not going to get much for it as a trade-in.

I have a 2000 malibu and it just passed 200k. Still runs like new and the
engine actually dyno'd at 139hp at the wheels. not too shabby for an older
domestic to keeps power like that.
Hold onto it for a while

We had our '00 'Malibu for just under 160,000km when someone ran a stop sing
and totalled it. We had spent less than $250.on repairs up to that time.

These cars will last almost forever with minimal maintenance: Changing oil,
tranny fluid, and coolant when required.

    I'm hinting at keeping it.
