Had it been developed by GM they could have evolved the styling anyway
they liked without re-engineering the guts.

With typical GM shortsightedness they let the owners "beta test" them,
and pulled the plug on the iteration that should have been their first

It's probably because Fieros are cheap, reliable and almost sized properly.
FWIW, I met a fellow who badged out a Kelmark as Ferrari, and he is proud of
it. He was wrong on so many levels that it was depressing, very sad.
