Lexus: Intermittent Check Engine Light

'03 ES300 is showing a lit check engine light(no other warning lights) one
day, then not the next. Then again a couple of days later. Gas cap is on
tight through-out. Anybody observe this behavior? If so, what did it turn
out to be? Thanks.
