This is a virus. Swen, i think it's called.

Microsoft never e-mails people windows updates. Users of Windows should go to the windows update page.

this is the latest version of security update, the "October 2003, Cumulative Patch" update which resolves all known security vulnerabilities affecting MS Internet Explorer, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express as well as three newly discovered vulnerabilities. The best "patch" anyone MS user can download is Mozilla v1.5 from:

http://www.mozilla.org

Best freakin' browser and email/newsgroup client out there, no more
worries about picking up a nasty virus when using it (unless you are a
AOLer who doulbe clicks on every *.exe file sent your way).

Even better, a pop up blocker that really works.
