Re: Install these security patch from Microsoft
This is a virus. Swen, i think it's called.
Microsoft never e-mails people windows updates. Users of Windows should go to the windows update page.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS "PATCH"!

Probably. However, Microsoft *has* actually released a bunch of patches
in the past few days. If you don't have automatic update enabled, might
want to check it out. That doesn't of course negate the fact that MS
never posts updates on Usenet groups or send them out in private email.

(only use Microsoft 'cause that's what came on this puter...)

So very correct Mr Shelton...
The best "patch" anyone MS user can download is Mozilla v1.5 from:
http://www.mozilla.org
Best freakin' browser and email/newsgroup client out there, no more
worries about picking up a nasty virus when using it (unless you are a
AOLer who doulbe clicks on every *.exe file sent your way).
Even better, a pop up blocker that really works.
I guess that is enuff cross posting from me for one night.

When you find Mozilla isn't any better, go to http://www.opera.com and get
a real browser. When you learn mouse gestures, you'll never use another

This is a SWEN posting, but the virus in the attachment has been stripped out, so it is not a threat. Posting host has been notified.

Re: Install these security patch from Microsoft
Marc <net> melodiously murmured in
news:com:
I would dispute the contention of "best email client". Once they get rid of
this need to rebuild the summary file if Windhose should happen to lock up
(what? never!), then it might be the best.
Opera wants money before you get the non-advertising version. Mozilla wants
nothing.
Mozilla does a bang-up job of stopping popups and unwanted script
execution.
