Jeep: How to check engine codes? 96 jeep grand?

1996 jeep grand chreokee

I've got a check engine light on !!!

In the past with my other dodges and chrysler vehicles on just turned the
ignition key off then on 3 times and the code would flash.

anybody know how to check it on thes vehicle???
and maybe a listing for the codes?

I'm goiung to go back to the trusty internet and keep looking?
