Formula 1: Hockenheim start

Hockenheim start
Why safety car, why not a new start? When all the logic and reason were
saying that the race should've been stopped and restarted. I remember that
before, in similar situations there'd always be a red flag and a new start.
(I'm wondering what would've happened if Michael had been involved in that
accident.)

start.
Why should it have been stopped? The track was not blocked - just some
debris that needed clearing.
I.

Really??? Remember Hockenheim 2000 when Schu and Fisi collided at turn
1 and the race went on? Then the previous race where at Turn 1 Schu
had a comming together with someone and the race went on again? The
race was not Silverstone as it was the year we had the GP in May and
Sch had two collisions in a row from the grid going into T1.
People have such short memories and it is such a shame they are the
ones who speak before engaging brains.

that
that
it should have been restarted because thousands of fans there and millions
watching on tv are paying good money to see the best race .

Well, I can remember races which were stopped in exactly the same
circumstances, sometimes even less serious.

Didn't that one happen with Schumacher and Zonta?
I think it was A1 Ring.
Speaking of short memories, try to remember Hockenheim 2001, when the race
was restarted after an accident involving guess who?

Re: Hockenheim start
They used to stop them before they had the safety car.

That's correct, but those are completely different circumstances, aren't
they?
