Saab: HELP! - Seeking Wheels for '99 9-3

I've driven a '99 9-3 SE for 2 1/2 years and have had numersous
problems with the wheels - and as a result with tires as well. My 9-3
came with OEM Saab 16", "Viking", 3 hole alloy wheels. In just 2 1/2
years I have had to replace 5 wheels due to the wheels becoming bent
or warped.

Also, have had to replace or repair tires more frequently than I have
had to do with provious vehicles - including an '85 Saab Turbo that I
drove for 10 years. I've run on both Michelin and Gislaved tires and
had problems with both on this wheel.

I'm convinced that there is a problem with the design / construction of
this wheel. Has anyone else had trouble with this wheel?

Can you recommend an alternative that I should consider that will
provide improved performance?
