Help - RAV 4 Towing
Is the 02 RAV 4 with the 2.0litre engine strong enough to pull a trailer
approx 1100 lbs. How good is it in the snow, traction wise???
TIA

Re: Help - RAV 4 Towing
1) How long do you plan on keeping the RAV, and do you care if you
seriously shorten the life of the drivetrain.
2) Really unsure if the RAV's brakes are adequate for another 1100#
3) Traction depends on the tires. Real winter tires like Nokian or
Bridgestone Blizzak = good snow traction. So-called All Season tires =
disappointing snow traction.

Re: Help - RAV 4 Towing
Regarding Traction in the snow.
Toyo makes an agressive tire (Observe GP4). If you plan on keeping
the car and drive in bad winter conditions, you won't believe the
difference. Bridgestone Deluer and Yokama Geolander also are a great
tire.
