    Help about overheat and hesitating

    Hi,
Recently I feel my car (Camry, 91', 4 cylinders, automatic, 100k)
sometimes not driving freely, just like brake draging or something
else. Even I depress gas, the car's response is not immediately. I
also feel the brake is not as usual. It seems the problem showing up
after warming up. Most time it run fine. Today in city driving, the
problem appears when an uphill is in front me. The temperature rises
up slowly from below half to 2/3. I have to turn on heater to lower
the temperature and drive slowly because no convenience place to stop
at roadside. After one mile or so most of the syndrome disappears. At
least I feel brake is as usual.
Both of the oil and transmission fluid are OK. The level of antifreeze
is 0.3 in. below full when engine is hot, 0.6 in. below full mark when
engine is cool. In recent days, I don't find any coolant loss. The
radiator cap is new for a preventive maintainance recently.

    Any suggestion is highly appreciated.

    Additional information:
    1. The brake fluid level is OK.
    2. Before the problem appeared 10 minutes yesterday, I heard a clunk
noise in the direction of right front of the gas padel when I
    accelerated normally(not hard at all).
    3. When the overheating appeared, the speed of my car is about
25mile/hour. Then I drove at about 20mile/hour for one or 2 miles in
    the crowded downtown.

    Thanks

Check to see IF the coolant (radiator) fan is coming on when engine is
overheating. It also may help to replace the thermostat if you havn't
already as it may be sticking.

Does the car pull to one side when you press the brake pedal. If so,
you may have a brake caliper sticking (on the side the car pulls to)
and you'll need to replace it if so. This will cause extra strain on
the drive train and sometimes cause overheating due to over load.
