    glass surface scratch

    Hi

Anyone know of a good solution to remove a very light annoying surface
scratch on glass apart from changing the window?

    Thanks

Eastwood (and others) sell a glass polishing kit. The kit contains polish,
a special buffer that you drill mount and directions. www.eastwoodco.com.

If you run your fingernail across the scratch and it
catches you nail at all, you will need to replace the glass.

Well, that blows. I was going to try and buff out some scratches myself.
Do you know how much it costs to replace windows that are etched with "Astro
    Ventilation" on them? Don't ask...

Google has a handful of glass polishing kits
    for about $ 30.

I had a scratch polished out of a curved
windshield several years back. The local
glass & mirror guy did it for less than $ 20.
The distortion was annoying when driving
down city streets with nearby trees, phone
poles etc. Finally sprung to have the
    windshield replaced.

you really have vented windows on your vette? I had no idea they came that
way. what happens when it rains? does the rain come through the Astro
    Ventilation?

It used to be that the windows came without holes in them...must be a newer
    idea from GM.

Did you not notice the "" around "Astro Ventilation"? Did you also not
notice that I said etched ON them, not THROUGH them? )
