Drain the coolant if you haven't already done so, and heat it and the
surrounding area with a propane torch. This will soften the thread
sealant enough to let you remove the plug. You want to get it heated
to ~250F or so; almost too-hot-to-touch (the ol' scorched finger
gauge). Be sure to reapply loctite "red" or similar when you put
things back together.
