    Fast idle on 2003 Liberty

I have a 2003 liberty I just purchased used. It has fast idle (1200 RPM)
when warm, but idles fine when cold. No codes are stored. No vacum leak
that I can find. Runs smoothly both warm and cold. I did a thorough intake
cleaning. Does anybody have any thoughts as to where to look?

    Thanks...

Check your TPS circuit that is generally the cause because is fails to
stroke correctly when it gets dirty.

Re: Fast idle on 2003 Liberty

I cleaned the throttle position sensor and put a scantool on it. It reads
12.5% absolute throttle position when throttle is fully closed. Does
anybody know what the correct reading is? There are no stored codes. I
would expect some sort of code concerning idle air controller or TPS.

Any ideas before I take it to the dealer for one of their famous high priced
    hose-jobs that probably won't fix a thing?

    Thanks
