It's odd, isn't it, that people seem to feel that by claiming they are
"not one to spam newsgroups" it somehow makes it ok to go ahead and

Wrongo. FA or no FA, if everyone who has something to sell on ebay
posts their item to a newsgroup, pretty soon there won't be anything
but ebay spam on the newsgroups. That's why ebay will pull your item
if they receive a complaint about posting ebay auctions to newsgroups.

I didn't complain the first time. Thought it better to give the
spammer the benefit of the doubt. But if that's how you want it, I
will let ebay know and I will make an abuse complaint to the ISP.

If group users are going to defend spammers here, they are going to
get what they are asking for: A group taken over by people who have
something to sell.

Nor do I see anything else at the end of the group name. Its simply
alt.autos.bmw which includes anything and everything bmw related. I do not
consider this spam since its an individual person selling an individual
item. I say he is welcome here and I say you need to get a life.
