BMW: e46 330Ci, thinking of new wheels.

Folks,

I'm thinking of getting some new wheels for the bimmer. I'm looking at
the HRE 540R. I just love the wheel looks but they're pricey. So the
question at hand (cause I want to get this right at these prices) is
this. I've been thinking 18x8.5/front, 18x9.5/rear.. But the guy I was
talking to said I really should go with the 19 inch wheel. I don't want
to pussy foot around with the car and have to worry that every little
bump in the road is gonna bend a wheel. I was thinking that the extra
inch in diameter _might_ afford somewhat more protection and a less
harsh ride.

Anyone with experience with either or both 18/19 inch wheels care to
comment? (I know the 19 definitely looks better)
