BMW: E34: How to remove front side marker light

This evening I noticed a burnt bulb in my side marker light, located
in the right front bumper of my 1995 E34. It was dark outside and I
didn't get a chance to examine it closely, but it did appear that
there were no retaining screws for the light box or lens. Does this
box snap in place, requring me to pry it out of the bumper, or are
there screws behind the bumper holding it in place?

It just slides (forward I believe), quite easily. Then it just tips out
and you can replace the bulb by turning out the socket from the back.
Many times you will find that the bulb is not the problem, but corrosion
on the wire(s) is. Easy to replace the socket too. Then just pop it back
and slide it in the opposite direction to snap tight.
