Corvette: Don't wanna put it away (story)

Don't wanna put it away (story)
I live in SE MI. Seems like I should put the 'Vette away for the cold
months. I don't think I am though. I had a '91 Firebird for 12 years
and will keep those rules for the 'Vette. NO snow, NO wet roads when
possibility of freezing, NO wet road when salt is still present. No
dry but dusty 'white'(salt) roads. Basically, we have enough dry,
clean road days between Dec. and April to just keep the insurance on.
AAA offers a $50.00 rebate for every 30 consecutive days you aggree
not to drive it.
I have already driven it on a few dry mornings where the non garaged
cars needed to be scraped because it was below freezing. It almost
seemed like it was a little quicker in the cold.?

Yep, it wasn't your imagination. Cold temperatures are natures super/turbo
charger. Cold air is much denser than warm air, so you get more O2 into the
cylinders.

I can see Michigan and smell Indiana and mine will be driven all winter, got
the all weather tires on already. Weather is not a factor, just the damn
deer, got mine already this year.

Re: Don't wanna put it away (story)
I would put it away too if it snowed here but the winter is perfect top down
weather here in Arizona.
Back in 78 I was driving my 77 Vette real careful in January in Ohio, Some
ijit in a tow truck pulling a beat up old piece of junk Gremlin hooked the
gremlin up wrong and the towed car hit my vette. Last time I drove in the
snow with a vette.

I'm in SE MI and I agree with you. Only once did I put it away, and
those nice crisp winter days when the sun is shining really suck when
you can't drive the Vette.

No, Ky. is out, a friend from Indiana watches this group, just a jab at him.
That deer cost $1254.83 to fix, the next one will go at about .12 cents,
cost of a 300 grain 44 magnum.
