    dealership tranferrable?

If I purchase a new Hyundai Tiburon at one dealership, is my warranty and
mainentance check-ups good at any Hyundai dealership?

Reason I ask is that I'm going to be moving around the same time I purchase
    the car.

Thank you for any help that anyone can offer.

**Hi Zoet. I no longer own my Santa Fe but I purchased it at a
Connecticut dealership. I live in Michigan and I had it serviced at
the Ann Arbor dealership...didn't like it so changed to another one in
Livonia. Me purchasing the car in CT was never a problem.

The warranty is through Hyundai, not the dealership. ANY Hyundai dealer
should service your car under warranty with no questions asked, but you
may encounter some grumbling. In your case, I'd approach the new dealer
by stating that you just moved into town and are looking for a dealer to
take your business to. A good dealer will recognize this as an
opportunity to make a new customer and welcome you. If you get anything
    less in response, look elsewhere.

As long as the dealership knows what it is doing, it should not be a problem.
I bought my Sonata at a Houston dealership, and then a dealership right next
door to my house started selling Hyundais. It was a disaster. The service
people were not properly trained, and they charged me for things that should
have been covered by the warranty. I had to contact customer care at Hyundai
to get it straightened out. The rep there even said that that place doesn't
know what it's doing. I went back to the Houston dealership. I've never had a
problem with service from them. Here's an example. I got an oil change at the
new place. They forgot to change the washer on the plug--instant oil leak.
Have had dozens of oil changes at the Houston dealership with no problems. You
    live and learn.

If you can wait to buy a new car till you move. Some dealerships offer
special perks like free lifetime inspections, car washes or loaner cars
    while they service your vehicle
