BMW: Crows

Crows
I've had this really annoying problem whereby every day i'd come out to my
car I'd find these scratches across my wing mirrors. It used to be alternate
ones, but now it's both. I assumed it was one of my neighbours! It has
bugged me for weeks!
Yesterday, my brother visited me and he commented 'there was a crow sitting
on your wing mirror, pecking at it.' So now I know! That's what's causing
it. But the question is, why are the crows of Edinburgh taking a liking to
my E36 wing mirror glass? And how can I stop them? Anyone experienced this
before? The car is black, although I'm not sure this has anything to do with
it.
They aren't doing this to any of the other cars round here, just mine!
Short of putting a plastic bag on each side held with an elastic band each
day, I dont know what to do!
Thanks,

It's probably the same bird each time. I had the same with a sparrow, but
on my other car which has a stainless steel mirror casing so didn't
scratch. Had s**t all over the door, though. It will stop doing it when
the mating season is over - it thinks its reflection is a rival.

Re: Crows
Did you clean it off well? Maybe theres some food residue on it from
something and its trying to eat the mirror, lol. Just a guess.
