BMW: Consumer Reports and the X5

Consumer Reports and the X5
The X5 tips over? The next time my neighbor tailgates me with his X5
I'll smile and realize that he would be dust on a windy road. I have a
vision: someone challenges him on a windy mountain road, a quick curve
comes up, he turns the wheel, can't make the curve, two wheels tip up,
and.... you know the rest of the story.

Re: Consumer Reports and the X5
Hahah, thats about the most ridiculous statement ever. The X5 might tip but
it would take quite a bit. Due to its low center of gravity based on the
5-series platform its probably one of the least-tippable SUV's out there.

Re: Consumer Reports and the X5
Then how do you explain the emergency maneuver test results which had
the X5 to tip twice in their test while the others did not? Go read
this month's Consumer Reports, if it's so hard to believe. And no,
there were no stablizers attached to the sides of the vehicles.
Besides, even if they did, it would mean that all the other SUV's
tested had them too and still, only X5 was found to be tipsy.
