    Column shifter loose

Does anyone know how to tighten the steering column shifter on a 92 Grand
Marquis? Its hard to know if you are in reverse, neutral or drive. The
needle doesn't line up properly either. Sometimes the engine doesn't crank
even though it's in park. Thanks

    Rick

Get under the dash, looking up the column. You'll see two torx bolts that
have come loose at the very bottom. They hold an aluminum bracket to the
steering column, with the shift cable clipped to the other end. Sorry, don't
    remember the torx size.

Tightened the two torx bolts up and it works great. Thanks for the help.
