Dunno myself, but I am x-posting a.a.p. to catch any lurkers there.

Also, as I believe it's been discussed at some point here, doing a
search through this group may prove worthwhile. Checking with your
regional Porsche club should yield local recommended results.

    or the following sites:

    http://www.rennlist.com
    http://www.pca.org

If you are not already aware, you will benefit greatly from this site:

Congratulations on your new purchase. May it give you giant shit-eating
grins for years to come. Mine still does.

Unfortunately, I don't know any names!
There's a shop in Lincoln Park/Bucktown that seems very popular
with Porsche owners. It's on Willow east of Clybourn. I pass it going
to Crate and Barrel or Best Buy over there; I've seen as many as half
a dozen 911s there. They also seem to do a lot of Mercedes-Benz work.
Second, when I sold my 911SC one potential buyer had the PPI done
at a shop on Western Avenue, just north of Irving Park Rd. I talked to
the owner and head mechanic and both seemed very knowledgeable about
Porsches, to the point that if I still had one, I'd take it to them.
The buyer had a 356 they had worked on, and they had a 993 and 930 in
the shop when I was there. This was over a year ago, though, and it
was the only time I ever went there.
Chris Streit over on Pelican took over Motodelta, which used to be
on Elston just north of Fullerton, after Ray retired, but Chris is out
in Naperville. But he owns and races 911s, just like Ray did. In fact,
I think his daily driver recently changed from a 930 to a 993.

    Re: Chicago Mechanic recommendation

    Thanks for the suggestions.

The shop on Willow is actually what I was hoping somebody may have
information on. They are located just a few blocks from home, and I
    always like convenience.

It is called either Exotic cars or 935 W Willow. They seem to use both
names. I have not actually found anyone who has used them but I have
always seen a lot of traffic in the shop.

Anybody have any history with this shop?

I will check out the other recommendations also,

    Thanks.
