GM / General Motors: Cars direct

Cars direct
Anybody here purchased a car through carsdirect.com? Sounds like a good
deal. If so what was your experience? I am looking to buy a new truck and
have had it with the local dealers and the haggle.

Re: Cars direct
Get the best price you can from 'carsdirect' then take the
deal to your local dealer. He will easily match or beat their
price, on the exact same vehicle, since he does not need to
pay the $250 finders fee 'carsdirect' receives from the selling
dealer.

Hello,
Are you anywhere near Goldsboro, NC? There is an awesome dealer there that
does NOT work on commission, and thier price is clearly marked in the
window. They are EXTREMELY competitive (actually I have found none better
for pricing). They do not pressure you whatsoever, and my salesman answered
every question I had.
Thier website is www.ccog.com. I took down the stock numbers, and the VINs
and matched them to the trucks on the lot. What I saw was what I would pay
(before the taxes...etc) No haggling needed. If you are interested, contact
Mac McGannis.
I bought my Monte Carlo from them and it was the BEST car buying experience
I have ever had.

Re: Cars direct
If your new truck is for a business find out what dealer does commercial
program sales. You cut right through the bullshit most times.

Yes. I just bought a new Chevy van. Went to the Chevy dealer fleet dept,
told the guy what I wanted. He did a 200 mile search, found exactly what I
wanted, and gave me a price about the same as Cars Direct. It was by far the
least painless truck buying experience I've ever had.
