    Carb to eci

I had given to me a complete 1991 Magna, with a blown head gasket and the
head badly warped. So i stripped the car for spare parts. The problem i face
now, is the esi unit, able to be transplanted into my 1986 Magna, being a
carb type. Some say yes others say no.

    Thanx

The only real issue is the crank angle sensor, if it has one, and if it fits
on the 86 engine. You may need to swap the camshaft. The other sensors
(temperature etc) should be similar or the same. The intake manifold should
swap, and the air filter bits are quite similar, and can be made to fit.

So the main issue then is the wiring harness modifications.

Thanx mate, me thinks after checking the 86 magna, certain wiring is missing
that sends power to the eci unit, oh well
