Boots?
If you get new shocks, is it recommended to change the boots?

If they're split or cracked, definitely. It's probably a good
idea since you've got the shocks off anyway. Mine where in
tatters by the time I replaced my shocks.

Re: Boots?
Yes, you're going to find they are destroyed anyway. Don't use the
Mazda factory boots, order new ones with your shocks from the same
manufacturer.

Re: Boots?
FWIW the boots on my '97 were completely trashed when I replaced the shocks.
Also would recommend getting the Mazda boots as the bump stop is integral to
the boot, and is different front to back, the other brand items I could find
were the same front to back, as the bump stop is part of the spring rate on
a Miata I was concerned that other brand shock boots would adversely affect
handling. Being an AutoX addict I went with the Mazda boots.

Re: Boots?
Just to let you know the cost of OEM boots, I just picked up front and rear
boots from Trussville for my 97's impending KONI installation for
$23.16/ea-rear and $23.48/ea-front.

Re: Boots?
I think I remember aftermarket boots (IIRC @NAPA) were like $15 ea.
