Happens all the time with old, rich, and out of touch dudes like Bernie.
The only positive is he's stepped into the international media blender
now, and is being chopped up like slivered ice. It's too late for him
to recover. Ask Al Campanis, and he wasn't even that old or that rich.
I think Rodney Dangerfield and Ed McMahon felt that kind of sting,
too, but pulled it out somehow. Bernie's got a lot of rich friends, but
now that the media is his enemy, a lot of them will hit the road.
