battery dead after 2 days of not using

    Hi,

Bought a 2000 (w) Nissan Primera 2.0 + Sports andthe Battery was going dead
(alternator tested and ok) so replaced battery. Battery has lasted a month
    now is losing charge again.

Any ideas anyone. I realise it has been very cold but surely should last at
least a couple of weeks ok?

    Thanks in advance.

It seems that something is still switched on after you leave the car, the
first thing I would check is the boot/trunk light then I would check every
circuit that is fed direct from battery ie: brake lights, central locking
ect. You say you had the alternator checked so I doubt that the battery is
back-feeding but you can check by disconnecting the cables to the alternator
( don't forget to insulate them) and see if the battery is flat in the
morning but I don't have to tell you DO NOT run the engine without
reconnecting the alternator leads. If it,s still flat then you could try
disconnecting the live cable from the battery and inserting a 21watt bulb
between the two, depending on what is drawing the current the light will be
either glow bright or dim, If its, bright then that is a large load so start
disconnecting circuits till it goes out.
    I hope this helps.

    Trevor,

Thanks for you time replying, I started taking the fuses out today but it
    started to rain. No garage!!

The boot light is off but will try the rest tomorrow all being well and yuor
other remedies. If no look are garages able to find these silly faults?

It drained .01 every 1-2 minutes.

While I'm here is there a way to have the stereo turn off with the ignition,
it has to be manually turned off at the moment.

I got made redundant and had a compnay car so needed one quick, I justy
liked the look of this car was going to get an Alpha 156 but this has been
dissapointing because of this problem and the bad fuel econamy around 20 to
    the gallon!

    Thanks again for your time.
