It almost sounds like the unibody is not lined up and jigged properly.
have you cross measured everything to make sure it is square????

I did some cross measuring a few months ago (when I had that bend
scare).. It checked out.. I believe it's just that horribly fitting tbox
from NPD.. Last time I buy anything from there.. It was just too big
    for the frame rail..

Try a floor jack and 2x4 if it's sitting on the ground, that is.

As I have said in the past, you get what you pay for. When an item is
priced 25% below it's competition, 99% of the time it's not worth half
of what your paying for it..............

I'm lucky. I have a set of lower reinforcements from UMI Performance in PA.
They sell theirs on Ebay. Scored them for way less than Wild Rides' Battle
Boxes cost. I installed them today (after waiting over a year). I only bolted
them in for now as I don't have a welder. One thing to take into consideration
is it is not always the part at fault that may not fit. If the car has been
through a lot of abuse the torque box area may be distorted. My right side
was. The top wasn't flush with the flooring, but after tightening the floor
plate it was flush. Then there are those no-name manufacturer ones that don't
fit for crap or are just knock-offs of the popular brands.

It was actually the most expensive piece.. I just picked it because it
was within driving distance (well, 4 hours each way, but I thought it
would be worth it), boy, was I wrong.. They will get no good press from
    me..
