The owners manual should state the type of tranny oil you should use. It
will always recommend the oem "Mopar" brand. Mopar, or DCX, does not make
oil. They buy and resell it with their own label on it. The owners manual
(and also the service manual) should identify the minimum properties to look
for. If you do your own oil changes, I would at least keep the oil and/or
filter (if applicable) receipts in case a warranty problem develops. If, for
example, your tranny were to burn up, DCX might not warrant the repair,
citing "there are no records of oil changes"...blah blah blah. You then
throw them the receipts of oil purchases...and they have to fix it.

I have done much research with oils, especially transmission oils. Mineral
oils tend to all have similar properties when it comes to synchronizer wear,
temperature properties, effects of moisture etc. Synthetic oils will also
usually have similar properties, although a bit different than mineral oils.
There are engineering doctorates who write dissertations that only they can
    understand..;-)... regarding the subject.

Trust your owners manual. You cannot go wrong there.
