Aux input to Punto Blaupunkt Factory-fitted stereo

    Hi,

Was wondering if it was possible to get an aux adaptor to fit a
blaupunkt stereo that came built in to my 02 reg fiat punto 1.2.
There is a cd changer option I think so can anything be wired in to
    that?

Can't find the radio model number anywhere - sorry!

    Cheers

If it's an OEM Fiat unit (ie.Low/Mid/High, etc) then you're unlikely
to get an aux input into it directly. You can however get an adaptor
from Connects2 to allow connection of an Apple iPod via it's docking
    connector.

Looking on your site there is http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_product.php?partno=CT29BP01
    - a phono adapter for factory fitted blaupunkts with (unused) CD
changer option. Is there one for cars older than 2004 (02 I believe is
    2002)?

I suspect the factory fitted unit in the car would be the low-end
    option.

It is to connect a non-iPod MP3 player so really just need a plain-ole
    line in.

    Thanks for the help

That part is generally only suitable for aftermarket Blaupunkt units.
Most OEM units are built to the car manufacturer's specification,
which normally means that they don't use the same CD connectors or
changer communication protocols. The lead also only works for units
that are aux input enabled. Again, most OEM units don't have this
    functionality enabled by default.

You may have to use an FM modulator in that case.
