It means that there's a problem with the airbag circuit and that it won't
    activate in an impact.

My Z3 Airbag light came on. Dealer replaced a seatbelt activator. I would
tell you the part but my files are somewhere in a forest of moving boxes,
    still to be discovered....

    Re: Airbag light

Your airbag light could be on due to many different things. Anything from
the seatbelt buckle itself, to one of the airbags resistance not being where
it should, or even faulty wiring. Either way, I'd get it in right away and
find out why its on. Your better to be safe than sorry...

    Re: Airbag light

Why does the airbag seem to come on so often on newer BMW's as opposed to
other cars. I've driven several other airbagged non-BMW previously and never
had the airbag lights come on (and I believe they all had such a light).
