    Air Intake Modification - Passport

Finished my Honda this weekend. Put my life on hold to get it done.
Finally!!! Did a removal/reinstallation of new rocker shafts and a complete
cleaning of the hydraulic lash adjusters (lifters). New belts throughout,
including timing belt, and new gaskets all around. New thermostat, vacuum
    piping, fuel lines, et cetera.

Put the car all back together, started her up, and the damned thing works
great. No more clicking sound from the left side as before.

While inside the car, I decided to replace my stock air filter canister with
an after-market tube which goes "straight" into the throttle body, the kind
with the kickass looking filter on the outside, to draw more cold air into
the engine. Car sounds tight when started and seems to choke down fine.
    Really happy with the results.

The question is, I've seen some of those MOD chips out there that promise a
20+HP increase by fooling the computer into thinking that more cold air is
entering the throttle body and thereby advances the timing to compensate for
same. Now that I have installed this new air intake, is there also the need
for this MOD chip in order to "tell" the computer whhat I have done
vis-a-via the intake? Or does it already know?

Has anyone else installed one of these MOD chips into their vehicles? And,
if so, what have been the results of the installation?

    Thanks in advance.

you may need to reset the ECU but usualy the ECU will notice the
modification in a couple days at the most...mine noticed in 15
    minutes.......

but the MOD chip your talking about is completely different.....

if your going to try and get HP get a venom controll module....

jcwhitney has them for the best $ i've seen so far
