Advice on removing the crankshaft sprocket - 2.2L

Looking to replace the front crankshaft seal, but first need to get the
crankshaft sprocket off. Can't get a grip on the key to ease that out first &
the sprocket seems to be stuck fast. Any suggestions?

    It's a '94 2.2L auto.

    Thanks, Chris

Borrow or rent a puller from a parts store or somewhere. TG

    I had a similar problem with a 95.

What i did was the following:

Covered the sprocket with a 1/8" thick hard rubber piece.

Used two hose clamps, the ones with hex head screw, so i could tighten
them well over the sprocket and rubber piece. 2 Clamps to improve the
holding. Then using a small piece of wood as leverage point, I used a
long wrench over the bulge on the clamp closer to the block to pry the
    sprocket out.

Make sure you can torque the crankshaft bolt to the specified 120 ft-lb
to avoid very costly damage to the pulley, cranckshaft and sprocket.

I hope this works out for you.

Warm the pulley at the center with a propane torch. Don't try to remove the
key, just pull on the pulley, it is a slip fit, but does stick sometimes
from salt corrosion etc, but rarely a problem to remove. Try wiggling as you
    pull on it too.
