Honda: Accord 95 automatic transmission double engaging

Accord 95 automatic transmission double engaging
Hello,
I read a lot of posts about the Honda's AT but I did not find an
answer if this is normal:
1. Several week ago I bough 1995 Accord LX with 82 000 miles driven by
a old lady. All maintenance was done at the dealership according to
the schedule.
The car runs perfect except a small thing: When I put the car in
Direct (from neutral or park) I feel that the transmission engages
once (a small "push"), then 1.5-2 second later I feel a second "push"
and then I can drive. Something the second push is not noticeable. But
most of the times I'll have to wait to the second push to drive (which
is around 2.5 secs). Other then that the tranny shifts perfectly fine
and my mechanic said it shifts actually a lot smoother then most 92-97
accords.
Is my transmission double-engaging normal?
Thanks

There is probably a minor problem with the transmission but I don't
believe you should worry about having it fixed unless the problem gets
worse. If you take it to a transmission shop or Honda Dealership--they
will probably charge you lots of money to fix the problem since it may
involve taking apart the transmission or parts related to the transmission
which takes lots of time and they will charge you for that time.

I drove my Grandma's '94 Accord with 38k miles from North Dakota to
Florida this June and I noticed the same thing with the transmission.
I'm guessing it's caused by either old ladies drag racing or it's
normal. I'm leaning toward normal.
