    '98 clutch WTH!

From a stop I started releasing the clutch, but the car jumped and died,
like it was popped without enough gas. Now the clutch pedal on my '98 only
comes up off the floor about 1". Depressing it the 1" does not disengage
the clutch; however, it does allow the engine to crank. So I to get home I
would have to kill the car at a stop. Then put the car in gear, 2nd, crank
it gear (pedal depressed does not disengage) until it starts will starter
    moves car forward.

Any suggestions as to what the heck happened. Again its a '98, six-speed,
35K miles. I've about had it with this car with its electrical problems,
column lock issues and now this.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks,

Check the hydraulic fluid level in the clutch master cylinder.

I had to replace the clutch master and slave cylinder
in my '94 from leaking problems.
