Pontiac: 96 Transport Driver Door problem

I've a 94 and had the same problem. there are 4 screws 2 in the armrests 2
in the door above the storage pocket. then clips around the perimiter once
off observe the latch working it from the inside release near the catch
should be a piece with a hole in it into which a rod from the outside handle
must fit. I used a telescopeing magnet to direct the pieces together. It
took several trys Hope this helps!
