96 Pathfinder: parking brake lamp issues
During the past week, my 1996 PF has developed an issue with the
parking brake lamp in the instrument cluster. Sometimes the lamp
turns on when I accelerate and usually turns off after firm braking
occurs. My main question is where is the parking brake sensor
located? Also, any comments/suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for your help!
Randy.

Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder and get the brakes
inspected, it may be time for a brake job

Re: 96 Pathfinder: parking brake lamp issues
Doh! I feel like a total moron. When I was having the problem, it
didn't occur to me to check the brake fluid level. Sure enough, it
was at the minimum. I just added more fluid and all is well now. My
dad and I replaced the brake pads about 15k ago, so I figure I should
be good for a few more miles. I'll have them inspected when I take my
PF in for a tire rotation.
Thanks again!
Randy.
