95 Intrepid ABS question
Hello,
Rear brakes worn through (disk). Son says brakes started the grind couple
days before and ABS light came on around the same time (not sure though) and
stays.
Replaced brakes and cleaned sensors and checked gap. Also checked ohms on
all 4 which were about 1050 +-25, the manual says ok between 950- 1200.
Any thoughts on what the problem may be?
Tried to use ABS in gravel and do not think it works...
Thanks!
Tom

Re: 95 Intrepid ABS question
tom you would need to find what fault it has using a scanner, then take it
from there

Re: 95 Intrepid ABS question
Thanks.
Looks like another 80 bucks for the dealer to scan.
Any other thoughts as to getting codes?
Thanks
Tom

Re: 95 Intrepid ABS question
When I need to have my computer scanned for codes, and I'm sure the day is
coming, I am going for one of these:
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=46030
It is a whole lot cheaper ($40 + shipping) than the dealer charges and I
will still have the scanner after the job is done. It isn't a real fancy
one but I'm sure it will tell me what I need to know. It states it is 1996
and newer generic ODBII compliant. The connector looks like it will mate up
to what I have as well.
