BMW: 95 525i check control module

Re: 95 525i check control module

We have a weird problem also. On our 525 it shows "low coolant level - check
owners manual"! That's a real pain to live with, worrying if a REAL problem
    exists.

I've spent $300 at the dealer during 2 visits having the engine cooling system
checked out. All is OK. But the service tech never thought of checking out the
    module.

Where is this module located in the car?

Can this module be unplugged w/o affecting the rest of the cars electronics?

It's usually the coolant level sensor which is cheap and easy to replace.

Oh, sorry. Didn't mention that the sensor WAS replaced. Love to replace the
module if I could find it. Any ideas?
