    93 Wrangler Mileage

What kind of mileage should I be getting on my 93 YJ Wrangler? Its the 4.0L
    6cyl about 110K miles.

    Thanks,
    Chad

That depends a lot on the tires, there size and if a lift is in use. If
it is stock it should make the upper teens on the hiway under 70 mph but
if it is lifted with big tires you might do only 15 mpg or so at best if
    you are lucky.

    Thanks Sno!

    about 12 MPG in town.

By chance are you running a manual tranny with stock 3.07 gears? If so I
am not surprized that that MPG is so bad.

If the tires and so forth are stock you can reasonably expect 12-14
city and about 17-19 highway. (depending of course on A/C use and
    other factors).

Yes it is the 5 speed manual. Don't know about the gears though. As far as I
know the jeep is completely stock, except, of course, for the GoodYear
31x10.50x15 Mud Terrains and the Bestop 2 piece hard top .

Thanks for your help. I think I will join your Wwb Forum.

I would have to do some research but it either has 3.07 or 3.54 axles.
3.54 would be marginal and 3.07's would suck for MPG with 31's. How many
RPM does it turn in 5th at 60 mph? BTW you are welcome to join and offer
any suggestions as they will seruiosly be considered.

If speedo is accurate, it is a 3.07 axle ratio which is not a good ratio
for bigger tires and best MPG.

I think the speedo is pretty close if not right on. What ration would you
recommend? Im running 31x10.50x15s now but mught upgrade to 33s ion a year
    or so.

    Thanks!
