Ford: 91 ltd & 83 Merc Transmission?

Hey people. Are they Tranny 4-speed auto (4th being "overdrive") from an 83
grandmarquis and a 91 LTD (both a 302 EFI engine although I think the 91 ltd
is an ohc) the same? (or not neccisarily the same.....but could you use one
from the merc easily in the ltd?
