Subaru: 87 DL Wagon: intermittent wipers?

Has anyone converted the regular (lever up/down) wipers to intermittent
ones?

If so, details, please.

Not on a subie but I did it on an 86 tercel 4WD wagon. Just go to the auto
parts store and buy the intermittent wiper relay. Most should have a dial
where you can adjust the speed as well. All you need to do is splice it
into the existing power and ground. Worked great!
