60CSX and Li batteries ?
My 60CSX will not operate with new 1.5V Energizer e2 lithium (Li)
batteries.
Is this normal behavior.

I had this problem with software 2.62 and the battery type setting on
NMHI
if this is the case fire ut up with alkalines or NMHI and change the
setting to Alkaline. It will now possibly work with your Li.
If you are running 2.7 make sure the battery type is set to Li
hope this helps

Li batteries 1.75V not 1.5V
According to Garmin:
"The issue regarding lithium batteries is
related to the fact that the batteries, like other AA's such as alkaline,
are marketed and advertised as 1.5v. The lithium batteries in many
situations are not in fact 1.5v, but 1.75v when the batteries are fully
charged. This voltage is higher than what the unit is regulated at for
battery power input. If the batteries are depleted enough to lessen the
voltage to less than 1.6v then the batteries can be used."

Accurate, but Lame. The 60C worked with Li cells; the 60Cx does not.
