MDT. I cannot say that I have ever seen a DRL (w/o Twilight
Sentinel) equipped Toyota that kept the tail lights ON with the DRLs.
Perhaps in Canada such was the case.

There are sections of highway identified as Daylight Test Section.
These are statistic gathering sections of highway, often quite
straight, high speed, two undivided two lane roads where head-on
collisions occur. You are not legally required to run your
headlights however.

If I had normal vision (unaided) or wore corrective eyeglasses then
there would be no need for DRLs on other vehicles except in
oscillating high/low contrast situations.
If I vainly insisted I did not need eyeglasses when in reality I
really did need corrective lenses, then my argument for oncoming cars
to have DRLs would be more emotional and determined.

ERROR. DRL did -not- affect my clock display. The headlight
Twilight Sentinel is the nanny device that affected the clock display
by dimming the display anytime during the day that the photosensor
became shaded by the roof pillar (normal headlights came ON).
If I maximize the instrumentation brightness, then the display
remains readable with the Twilight Sentinel erroneously turns ON the
headlights during daytime. But at night, I would have to turn down
the instrument lighting again because I dislike a BRIGHT instrument
display at night. Thankfully, I did not buy those stupid white
background instruments with the dark numbers!

Ah, but if everyone had the eagle eyes YOU claim to have, they would have no
trouble telling brake lights from other lights. ALso, what percentage of the
3rd brake lights are burned out? In my observation...about 1 %. You are
really getting desperate.

And you, when it comes to DRL's, remain an asshole.
