appear. Pressing FUEL and displaying RANGE with nothing following. any
ideas before I take it to the dealer ? maybe pull battery cable to

Re: 2002 Z06 Gas Gauge
Take it to the dealer for a PCM update. And try switching to a
different brand of gas.

Additional info - Was about 15 miles into my trip home from work. Stop
and go traffic mixed with highway. Just driving down the road when I
noticed the "check gauges" light and that the needle was beyond "E".
Filled up the tank and it still shows empty. also have the low fuel
message.

None of mine do that (three C5's). Get it back to the dealer.

Re: 2002 Z06 Gas Gauge
as you said one more suggestion b4 going to the DEALER......disconnect the
battery for about a minute and reconnect start the car and take it for a
short drive...if you still have the problem go to the dealer
hope this works

I have had the same problem with my 01. There is a TSB for this, the
dealer needs to reprogram your PCM. I had mine done about a year and
half ago, however it's acting up again. Keeps giving various levels on
the tank and just not sure how much is in there. Pain in the butt!

Re: 2002 Z06 Gas Gauge
On my 2000 I had the tank sensor replaced twice and the PCM reprogram. Have
not had a problem since.
